Why They Remain Stuck in Bangladesh

The Rohingya Muslims have faced persecution in Myanmar for decades. And yet no violence in their recent history has compared to that which the Myanmar military inflicted in August 2017. After militants from the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army attacked police and army posts in northwestern Rakhine State on August 25, the military responded by killing thousands of Rohingya civilians, raping hundreds of Rohingya women and girls, and burning entire villages to the ground. In the course of a little more than three months, more than 700,000 Rohingya were forced to flee for their lives to Bangladesh. Myanmar authorities claimed they had conducted a “clearance operation” to rid the country of militants. In reality, they were fulfilling a long-standing dream of Myanmar’s Buddhist nationalists: the ethnic cleansing of the Rohingya Muslims.

မြန်မာ့သမိုင်းတွင် လွတ်လပ်ရေးရသည့် ၁၉၄၈ ခုနှစ်မှ ၁၉၆၂ ခုနှစ် အတွင်း ပါလီမန်ဒီမိုကရေစီစနစ်ကို ကျင့်သုံးခဲ့ကြသည်။ ထိုကာလ သည် မြန်မာတို့ ကိုယ်ပိုင်အုပ်ချုပ်ခဲ့ကြသည့်သမိုင်းတစ်လျှောက် ပထမဆုံး ဒီမို ကရေစီကျင့်သုံးသည့်ကာလတစ်ခု ဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။ သို့သော်လည်း ထိုအချိန် ကကျင့်သုံးခဲ့သည့် ဒီမိုကရေစီသက် တမ်း သည် နှစ်ပေါင်း ၁၄ နှစ်ခန့် သာ ကြာရှည်ခဲ့သည်။ ယင်းအချိန် မှစ၍ နှစ်ပေါင်း ၆၀ကျော်သည့် အချိန် မှ ဒီမိုကရေစီ တစ်ကျော့ပြန် လည် ရောက်ရှိလာခဲ့သည်။

သို့ဖြစ်ရာ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံတွင် ဒီမိုကရေစီစနစ်ကို ယခုမှကျင့်သုံးခဲ့ခြင်း မဟုတ်။ ကျင့်သုံးခဲ့ဖူးသည်။ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ တွင် ဒီမိုကရေစီကျင့် သုံး ခဲ့စဉ်ကာလ က အာဆီယံနိုင်ငံများတွင်သာမက အာရှတွင်ပါ ထိပ်တန်း နေရာတစ်ခု ရခဲ့သည်ကို တွေ့ကြရသည်။

When he was in primary school, Futhu read a story about a girl who named her flowers. She wrote their names in a diary, logged when she planted and watered them and charted how they grew. The story was in a book Futhu’s uncle brought to their village in Myanmar’s western Rakhine State from across the border in Bangladesh — the words in English and in Bengali. Futhu was the first in his extended family to attend school — the first of 22 uncles, countless aunts and cousins — and though he excelled at Burmese and English class, he could not really understand the book on his own. His father was himself illiterate, as were most people in their community. So Futhu asked a village trader who often visited their home to read him the stories in the book, one by one.

ရခိုင္ေဒသမွာ ၿပီးခဲ့တဲ့တႏွစ္တာအတြင္း ၾကဳံခဲ့ရတဲ့ အျဖစ္အပ်က္ေတြကို အႏွစ္ခ်ဳပ္ၿပီး ရွင္းျပေပးဖို႔ ရခိုင္ အေျခစိုက္ RFAသတင္းေထာက္ ကိုမင္းသိန္းေအာင္ကို မဂ်ဴလိုင္မ်ိဳးက ဆက္သြယ္ေမးျမန္းထားပါတယ္။

Human beings do not want to live as refugees which is completely a form of leading very inhumane life. In today’s global order, refugee crisis is one of the very complex challenges for the politically less-influenced countries. There are various reasons for the people to become refugees. But the main contributory factor to this crisis prevalent in the world is, armed conflict and ethnic cleansing perpetrated on the marginalised and minority group of people by their own State machinery.

Earlier this month, Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of Myanmar, became the first person in history to win a Nobel Peace Prize and defend against accusations of genocide at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.

Since 2017, More than 700,000 Rohingya, a Muslim ethnic minority in Myanmar, have fled the country as Myanmar’s military began attacking their villages, sexually assaulting women, killing thousands, and in some accounts, throwing babies into fires. The military claimed these attacks were a counter-terrorism operation to stop a Rohingya insurgent group.

ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မြောက်ပိုင်း မောင်တောမှာ လုံခြုံရေးကင်းလှည့်နေတဲ့ မြန်မာတပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်များ (စက်တင်ဘာလ ၂၇၊ ၂၀၁၇) 

 

ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဒီဇင်ဘာ ၂၄ ရက်နေ့က ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ် မြေပုံမြို့နယ်မှာ တပ်မတော်နဲ့ AA ရခိုင်တပ်ဖွဲ့တိုက်ပွဲတွေဖြစ်လို့  ရွာသား နှစ်ထောင်ကျော်လောက် ထွက်ပြေးပြီး ဒုက္ခသည် စခန်းတွေမှာ သွားခိုလှုံကြရပါတယ်။ ဒါဟာ ၂၀၁၉ ကုန်ချိန်အထိ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မှာ တိုက်ပွဲတွေ ဆက်ဖြစ်ပွား နေတာကို ပြသလိုက်တာ ဖြစ်ပြီး ဒုက္ခသည် အရည်အ တွက်ကလည်း တစ်သိန်းနီးပါး ရောက်လာပြီလို့ ကူညီနေတဲ့ အဖွဲ့တွေက ဆိုပါတယ်။ ၂၀၁၆-၁၇ ခုနှစ် ကတည်း က ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ် နိုင်ငံဘက် ထွက်ပြေးသွားတဲ့ သန်းတစ်ဝက်ကျော် ရှိမယ့် မူ လဆင် ဒုက္ခသည်တွေလည်း မြန် မာနိုင်ငံထဲ ပြန်ဝင်မလာကြသေးပါဘူး။ အဲဒီအစား စစ်တွေ ဒုက္ခသည် စခန်းမှာ ပိတ်မိနေတဲ့ မူဆလင် ဒုက္ခသည် တွေ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ် ပြင်ပ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အတွင်းပိုင်းကို ခိုးဝင်ချိန် ဖမ်းဆီးခံရမှုတွေကလည်း ဆက်တိုက်ဆိုသလို ဖြစ်နေပါတယ်။ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မှာ နဂို ရှိနေပြီးသား ပြသ နာတွေ ပြေငြိမ်းမသွားတဲ့ အပြင် ပြသနာတွေ ပဋိပက္ခ တွေ တစ်ခုပြီး တစ်ခု တိုးလာနေတာပဲ တွေ့ကြ ရပါ တယ်။ လာမယ့် ၂၀၂၀ ခုနှစ် ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ်မှာ ဘာတွေ ဆက်ဖြစ်လာမလဲ ဆိုတာ ရခိုင်ပြည်နယ် အတွက် ရော၊ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံ အတွက်ပါ စိုးရိမ်ပူပန်ဖို့ ကောင်းတဲ့ အနေ အထားမျိုးပါ။ အဲဒီအကြောင်း လေ့လာ တင်ပြသွားပါ့မယ်။
