OIC’s 47th CFM ends highlighting Rohingya, Islamophobia, Palestine issues

Ambassador Hussein Ibrahim Taha from Chad has also been elected as the new secretary general of the 57-member bloc


The meet of the foreign ministers of 57 member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has concluded in Niamey, Niger, seeking fund for legal battle over the Rohingya genocide, urging Muslim solidarity to fight Islamophobia and terrorism, and retreating support to the principle of Arab initiative of two state solution over the Palestine cause.

ျမန္မာအား ICJ တြင္ တရားစြဲဆိုထားသည့္ ဂမ္ဘီယာနိုင္ငံကို OIC ၅၇-နိုင္ငံ အကူအညီေပးမည္။ OIC နိုင္ငံျခားေရးဝန္ႀကီးမ်ားအစည္းအေဝး၌ အဖြဲ႕ဝင္မဟုတ္သည့္ နိုင္ငံမ်ားရွိ မြတ္စလင္လူနည္းစုမ်ားအေျခအေနအပါအဝင္ အိုးအိမ္စြန္႔ခြာခဲ့ရေသာ ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံဇာတိ ဒုကၡသည္ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာမြတ္စလင္မ်ားအေရး ေဆြးေႏြးၾကမည္ဟုဆို
အဖြဲ႕ဝင္ ၅၇ နိုင္ငံပါဝင္ေသာ အစၥလာမစ္ပူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္ေရးအဖြဲ႕ (OIC) နိုင္ငံျခားေရးဝန္ႀကီးမ်ား ေကာင္ စီ ( CFM ) ၏ ပြဲစဥ္ ၄၇ ကို အာဖရိကအေနာက္ပိုင္း နိုင္ဂ်ာ ( ေနဂ်ား ) နိုင္ငံၿမိဳ႕ေတာ္ နီယာမီတြင္ ေသာၾကာ ေန႔၌ စတင္က်င္းပသည္။ ၂-ရက္ၾကာအစည္းအေဝးတြင္ ဒုကၡသည္ရိုဟင္ဂ်ာဟုတို႔အေပၚ လူမ်ိဳးသုဥ္းျပဳမႈျဖင့္ ( ျမန္မာနိုင္ငံအား ) အျပည္ျပည္ဆိုင္ရာ တရားခုံ႐ုံး ICJ တြင္ တရားစြဲဆိုလၽွက္ရွိေသာ ဂမ္ဘီယာနိုင္ငံကို မည္ ကဲ့သို႔ အကူအညီေပးေရးႏွင့္ အစၥလာမ္ေၾကာက္အယူအဆကာလအတြင္း မြတ္စလင္မ်ား စည္းလုံးညီညြတ္ ေရးအတြက္ အေလးထားေဆြးေႏြးၾကမည္ဟု Dhaka Tribune က ယေန႔ ေရးသားသည္။

OIC’s CFM begins emphasising Muslim unity in addressing Islamophobia

The two day 47th session of 57-member Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC's) Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) meeting began in Niamey, Niger today emphasising on the unity of Muslim world in addressing Islamophobia for peace and development.

Niger President Mahamadou Issouifou inaugurated the OIC's foreign ministers' meet while OIC Secretary General Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen addressed the opening ceremony held at Mahatma Gandhi International Conference Centre in the Niger capital.

In two days, the foreign ministers of OIC countries will discuss wide range of issues specially the situation of Muslim minorities and communities in non-member states that includes crisis of Myanmar origin Rohingya Muslims, who have been forcibly displaced to Bangladesh following a military crackdown in Rakhine three years back.
