Cavusoglu urges to never give up on efforts for voluntary, sustainable return of Rohingya to Myanmar
The international community is losing interest in the plight of Rohingya, the Turkish foreign minister said on Thursday, urging the international community to do more for the minority Muslims forced to flee Myanmar five years ago.

"Rohingya Muslims have been deprived of their fundamental rights and basic needs. Unfortunately, international community is losing interest to this tragedy," said Mevlut Cavusoglu during a high-level side event on the Rohingya crisis organized by Bangladesh in New York, where the 77th UN General Assembly is ongoing.

Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency aims to help 5,000 Rohingya families in Muslim holy month of Ramadan

Turkey's state-run aid agency sent relief to 1,000 Rohingya families living in a refugee camp in Bangladesh, the organization announced on Monday.

The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) said in a statement that the aid was provided as part of a campaign initiated for the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

A Turkish nongovernmental organization (NGO) plans to provide humanitarian aid to the different corners of the globe during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which starts on April 13.

The Şanlıurfa Humanitarian Aid Platform, which has been actively engaged in providing aid to the victims of the Syrian civil war for the past 10 years, is preparing to cheer up those struggling around the world.

A Turkish humanitarian aid group has distributed aid to oppressed Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Sadakatasi Association facilitates refugees living in camps to earn a living.

A total of 400 sewing machines, 60 passenger vehicles and 30 cargo vehicles were delivered to refugee families.

Aid agency opens village for Rohingya Muslims

A Turkish aid agency has built a village for Rohingya refugees, the majority of whom are Muslims, in Bangladesh's Cox's Bazaar region. Named "Emir Sultan," the village consists of 414 bamboo huts, two water wells, two mosques, a community space and a garbage plant.

"Thanks to these houses, our Muslim brothers and sisters got electricity at their houses for the first time. We have put solar panels on every house," said Halil Asa, a representative of the Humanitarian Relief Foundation (İHH), one of the leading Turkish aid groups." The Rohingya see Turkey as a source of optimism. They see hope when they know you are from Turkey and carry a Turkish flag on your clothes," said the İHH official.

A Turkish aid agency has distributed aid among Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan.

The Istanbul-based Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH) provided food packages to 7,500 Rohingya living in a camp near Bangladesh’s Cox’s Bazar district on Tuesday.

A Turkish field hospital in Bangladesh's Cox Bazar has been providing medical services to thousands of Rohingya refugees who fled Myanmar due to government atrocities since it was first established in 2018.

The hospital was inaugurated in February 2018 by Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) with the contributions of the Health Ministry, and it has been providing medical treatment and health care for approximately a thousand patients each day since then.

Ameena Begum, 22, is stitching a dress at a sewing center located at a refugee camp in the Cox's Bazaar town of Bangladesh.

Begum, a mother of one, is among the thousands of Rohingya Muslims who fled a military crackdown which started on Aug. 25, 2017 in Myanmar's Rakhine state to Bangladesh.

Turkey’s state-run aid agency opened a clinic in Rakhine state, homeland of RohingyaMuslims in western Myanmar, on April 22.

The clinic in Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine state, will provide small surgical operations, mother and childcare, and outpatient and general care, said the TurkishCooperationandCoordinationAgency (TİKA).
