ဂမ်ဘီယာနိုင်ငံက မြန်မာကို နိုင်ငံတကာတရားရုံး ICJ မှာ အမှုဖွင့်စွဲဆိုတာကို ကချင်အရပ်ဘက်အဖွဲ့ အစည်း တချို့က ထောက်ခံကြပါတယ်။ ဘာလို့လဲဆိုတော့ ICJ ကသာ တရားမျှတမှုကို ဆောင်ကြဉ်းပေးနိုင်မှာဖြစ်တယ် လို့ သုံးသပ်ကြလို့ပါ။ ဒေါ်အောင်ဆန်းစုကြည် ICJ မှာ အမှုရင်ဆိုင်မယ့်ကိစ္စကို NLD ပါတီ က ဦးဆောင်ပြီးတော့ မြို့ကြီးတွေမှာ ထောက်ခံပွဲတွေလုပ်နေကြပါတယ်။ အဲဒီထဲမှာ မြစ်ကြီးနား မြို့လည်း ပါဝင်ဖို့ရှိနေပါတယ်။

Amnesty International has gathered fresh evidence that the Myanmar military is continuing to commit atrocities against ethnic minorities in the north of the country, with civilians bearing the brunt of offensives against multiple armed groups. The conflicts show no sign of abating, raising the prospect of further violations.

A new report, “Caught in the middle”: Abuses against civilians amid conflict in Myanmar’s northern Shan State, details the harrowing conditions of civilians arbitrarily arrested, detained and tortured by the military. It also highlights the abusive tactics used by ethnic armed groups as they confront the military and each other to exert control in the region.

The Arakan Army, which is battling the Myanmar military for autonomy in turbulent Rakhine state, has grown in both force strength and firepower since its formation in 2009 to the level that the rebel group can now launch successful offensives on police or military outposts. YANGON—About 20 government soldiers were killed when the Arakan Army staged attacks on two Myanmar Army artillery bases on the outskirts of Mrauk-U in northern Rakhine State on Tuesday night, the armed ethnic group’s deputy chief claimed.

Brigadier-General Nyo Tun Aung said the AA attacked the No. 31 Police Regiment because troops from Light Infantry Division (LID) No. 22 were firing 105-mm howitzer shells almost daily from the base and another Army base in Lay Hnyin Taung about 8 km from downtown Mrauk-U.

Rakhine State has been the scene of the country’s worst fighting so far this year, as opposed to last year, when Kachin State was the focus. Each year the fighting moves from one area of the country to another, but it never seems to break out everywhere at once, despite the fact that most ethnic groups have their own armies. Some people have even asked why this should be. But, as we all know, the history of ethnic revolutionary armed groups shows that there is no common interest that would lead to a coordinated attack on the Myanmar Army (or Tatmadaw).

ပြီးခဲ့တဲ့ ဖေဖော်ဝါလ ၁၀ ရက်နေ့က NRPC က ဦးဇော်ဌေးနဲ့ KHCC က တာဝန်ရှိသူတွေ ရန်ကုန်မြို့မှာ အလွတ် သဘောတွေ့ဆုံပြီး အခုလိုဒုက္ခသည်တွေနေရပ်ပြန်ရေးကို ဆောင်ရွက်ဖို့ ဆုံးဖြတ်လိုက်တာလို့ သိရပါတယ်။

တပ်မတော်နဲ့ KIA နှစ်ဖက်သဘောတူတဲ့နေရာတွေကို ဦးစားပေးပြီး နေရာချထားပေးမှာဖြစ်တယ်လို့ ဒေါက်တာခလမ်ဆမ်ဆွန်က ပြောပါတယ်။

YANGON—In a video message, the Arakan Army (AA)’s deputy chief, Brigadier-General Nyo Tun Aung, told ordinary Arakanese on Wednesday that if the current fighting in northern Rakhine State continues to worsen, it could spread to other places in the state.
