Military council delegation led by Lt Gen Phone Myat visits Dhaka, discusses with Bangladesh chief of the defense staff
A three-member Myanmar military council delegation led by lieutenant general Phone Myat met with the Bangladesh chief of the defense staff general SM Shafiuddin Ahmed at Bangladesh Army Headquarters on 26 October last.
Both the generals discussed various issues related to the development of military ties between the two neighbouring countries including the exchange of high-ranking military officers. Phone Myat urged the Bangladesh authority to cooperate in joint natural disaster managementand sharing of relevant information.
