Two Rohingya men shot dead in Cox’s Bazar camp

Two Rohingya man has been shot dead by a group of miscreants in the Kutupalong Rohingya camp of Ukhiya in Cox's Bazar.

The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday in the C block of Kutupalong camp no 17.

The deceased have been identified as Ayat Ullah and Mohammad Yasin, confirmed Additional Deputy Inspector General Syed Harunur Rashid, commanding officer of Armed Police Battalion (APBn) 14.

Syed Harunur Rashid said the miscreants opened fire on them at H/36 of block C of Camp 17 and managed to escape.

Yasin died on the spot. Ayat Ullah was taken to Kutupalong MSF hospital with critical injuries where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Operations are underway to arrest the miscreants, he added.
