In March 2018, Nobel Women’s Initiative conducted a fact-finding delegation in partnership with Bangladeshi organizations, and met with over 100 Rohingya women in two refugee camps, in Kutapalong and Thyankhali. Sexual violence is one of the largest atrocities committed in Myanmar, and we were able to witness, firsthand, how women are systematically targeted by the Myanmar military.

An official at the UN refugee agency UNHCR met with Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh and on Thursday said they were "grateful" to their host country but longed to return to "normalcy and dignity" to Myanmar.

Art is never finished, only abandoned” said famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci. And so, the study and refining of the visual arts is an endless challenge. Most other countries have found it prudent to preserve valuable art so they may make art research and publish many art history books. All of that cultural information can then be printed and uploaded onto the internet and shared with the world. Alas, Myanmar misses that vital component and remains a mystery to many, even Myanmar people themselves.

DHAKA — A senior UN official has welcomed Bangladesh's plan to move Rohingya refugees out of the country's congested camps, but said any move to transfer some 100,000 of them to a flood-prone island should be voluntary.

The UN refugee agency, UNHCR, has lauded the Bangladesh government for its proactive steps to create an alternative settlement plan for Rohingyas.
