( 10.09.2018 ) Rohingya repatriation: Fake photo propaganda creates concerns

Even after more than a year, the fate of 7.5 lacs Rohingyas remains in uncertainty as they lost their rights to live on the soil where they were born and brought up. From august last year, this third phase of Rohingya influx to Bangladesh took place and as Bangladesh opened its door to provide shelters to these people who were brutally tortured by the Myanmar Army and their associate Buddhists, this number grew so large within a very short time.

( 05.09.2018 ) Rohingya crisis and an independent state by Amir Mohammad Sayem

THE term ‘Rohingya’ indicates an ethnic group, with an estimated total of more than three million — both at home and abroad, particularly as refugees. They are, indeed, one of the majority groups and predominantly settled in several townships including Buthidaung, Maungdaw, Rathedaung in the northern Rakhine State in Myanmar. They have been living there for generations. But the history of the Rohingyas is the history of discriminations, persecutions and displacements.

( 04.09.2018 ) Reuters Journalists Jailed: Poor Farmer’s Son And Poet Were Investigating Killings Of Rohingya Muslims ( Busines Times )

Myanmar jailed two Reuters journalists who have been relentlessly covering the hapless condition of the Rohingya Muslims in the country. The sentencing comes as Myanmar has been strongly accused of the ethnic and religious cleansing of the Rohingyas.

Two Reuters journalists, Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, were sentenced to seven years of imprisonment after a judge ruled that the reporters breached Myanmar's Official Secrets Act when they obtained classified information while investigating killings of Rohingya Muslims.
