Police recovered a man's bullet-ridden body from the Rahmaterbil area of Cox's Bazar's Ukhiya upazila, as it had been lying along the border for the last two days.
Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shamim Hossain said that they recovered the unidentified body with the help of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Saturday.

Investigations are underway to identify the deceased, he added.
Locals informed the BGB after spotting the body near the Rahmaterbil border. BGB later notified the police on Thursday.
Police proceeded to retrieve the body on Friday, but were forced to retreat owing to security concerns raised by the opposing side's constant firing.
