The Arakan Army (AA) captured three outposts that had been under the control of the junta’s No. 9 Command Training Depot in Kanni Village, Minbya Town, Rakhine State. on 21 February.
The AA started its assault on No. 9 Command Training Depot in Kanni Village at 11:00 a.m. on 17 February. Now that the AA has seized the three outposts it will try to take the entire depot.
The AA is also still attacking military camps, strategic hills, battalions, and junta headquarters that have not surrendered in the towns of Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, Buthidaung, and Maungdaw.
Junta artillery based in the towns of Sittwe, Ponnagyun, Rathedaung, and Buthidaung, has been indiscriminately targeting houses and villages
The AA has been attacking military camps in Rakhine State since 13 November 2023, as part of operation 1027.
At present the AA holds the towns of Mrauk-U, Kyauktaw, Myebon, Pauktaw, and Minbya in Rakhine State and Paletwa Town in Chin State.
