A total of 560 Rohingya, persecuted Myanmar citizen, fire victims of 125 families got relief materials which included three lungis, 12 T-shirts, 8 pairs of sandals, two blouses, one scarf, two trousers, two pillows, two bedsheets, and two bags, according to a press release.
Faith in Action executive director Nrupen Vaidya took in the relief distribution programme under the supervision of SNFI Sector Coordinator Carolina Brach while Rohingya camp in-charge Md Tanzim, program coordinator Timon Barai, and project coordinator Deepak Kumar Biswas were present.
On March 22, three Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar were gutted in a devastating fire that gutted shelters and belongings of about 10,000 Rohingya families. Seventeen people, including children and women, were burnt to death and over 400 were injured in the fire.
