A book, narrating the recent Rohingya crisis and ways to resolve it, was unveiled at a programme in the AR Mallick lecture hall of history department of Jahangirnagar University on Sunday.

History department organised the event where Lutful Elahi presented the key-note paper and replied different queries on his book.

‘In my book, I have mentioned all possible initiatives that the government should take right now in order to conserve the biodiversity of Cox’s Bazar and resolve humanitarian the crisis,’ he added.

Professor Emran Jahan of history department spoke at the programme as the keynote speaker.

Though the government created international pressure on Myanmar and earned their support, the total repatriation process cannot be carried out. This is due to the geopolitics relations among China, India and Myanmar, he said.

Professor Elahi’s book narrated properly the way to increase inter-state relations which will ensure the Rohingyas’ safe rehabilitations in Myanmar, he added.

JU arts faculty dean Mozammel Huq presided over the event while professor Mozahidul Islam, professor ATM Atiqur Rahman, associate professor Hosne Ara, assistant professor Masuda Parvin addressed, among others.
