A Rohingya refugee was shot dead by Rohingya goons at Nayapara Salban in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Hamid alias Hamid Daktar, 41, son of Mohammad Hossen of Nayapara Salban camp in Teknaf.
Abdul Hannan, camp in-charge of Nayapara refugee camp, said Hamid was abducted by some armed Rohingya goons from the camp on Friday evening and they took him to the nearest hill.
Later, he was found dead with bullet wounds, he said.
A team from Nayapara police camp led by inspector Abdus Salam went that spot and recovered the body and sent it to Cox’s Bazar General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Rohingya refugees said murderers of Hamid are connected to Nurul Alam who was killed in a gunfight with Rapid Action Battalion early Friday at Damdamia of Teknaf.
