The AA came to attack security members who were active near Thayetpyin village in Buthidaung at 6.30 on October 7. Tatmadaw military columns were taking security measures in Panhmaung in Minbya where the clashes were taking place, said spokesperson Colonel Win Zaw Oo of Western Command.

Some local news wrote the news that the clash broke out between Tatmadaw and the AA in Kuntaung village in Buthidaung from 1 am to 6 am on October 7. But, the clash broke out only near Thayetpyin village, but not in Kuntaung village, said Colonel Win Zaw Oo.

“There were no clashes in Kuntaung village last night. The clash did not appear in Kuntaung village but it broke out in Thayetpyin village. Thayetpyin is in the northeast of Phonnyolake. Our security members are taking security measures here. The AA came to attack these security members at 6.20 am. It took about 20 minutes,” said Colonel Win Zaw Oo.

The AA came to attack the security members and retraced to the north of Saitinchaung, said Colonel Win Zaw Oo.

“There is no clash in Yathedaung, but in Buthidaung. We are taking security measures,” said Colonel Win Zaw Oo.

The AA asked for money from Bengalis, firing a gun in a Bengali village in Yathedaung Township, said Colonel Win Zaw Oo. Translated and Edited by Win Htut
