Delegations from the United States and China have visited the Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar.
The American envoys arrived around 9:30am while the Chinese delegation reached around 11:30am on Sunday.
Both the delegations inspected the overall condition of the camps and talked to Rohingya leaders.
The US envoys were accompanied by US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl Robert Miller. The Chinese delegation, led by Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming, consisted of eight others.
Confirming the visitations to Dhaka Tribune, Ukhia police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Abul Mansur said: "The US delegation visited the Ukhia and Teknaf camps and have also talked about visiting camp no 18."
He further said: "The Chinese envoys also visited the Ukhia camp at first, and then they departed for the Rohingya camp Ghumdhum border."
A meeting is likely to be held with the top officials of Rohingya, the administration and the Chinese delegation on Rohingya repatriation in the afternoon, the police official added.
Earlier, on August 22, China sent a delegation for the Rohingya repatriation from Bangladesh. The government held a meeting with the Rohingyas in the presence of the Chinese representative.
However, the Rohingyas did not agree to repatriation, and the process was halted.
