The Rakhine State Investment Fair, held on February 22-23, has attracted investment agreements of substantial worth, according to Myanmar Investment Commission.
A number of Expression of Interest (EoI) documents were signed according to U Kyaw Aye Thein, Rakhine State Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Finance. Three of the agreements were between the government and private businessmen, and the rest were between private businessmen,
Most of the EOIs signed at the fair were in hotel and tourism industry, the minister said.
U Nyi Pu, Chief Minister of Rakhine State, noted that the development projects such as Kyauk Phyu Economic Zone, Deep Sea Port, and the Kaladan River development project will create good investment opportunities for local and foreign investors.
“Rakhine State is located at a strategic geographical location with various mode of transportations available like air, water, and roadways. It is also in a prime location for global trade with easy access to the sea,”he added.
Over 600 local investors and 200 foreign investors attended the two-day investment fair held at the famous Ngapali Beach in Rakhine State. The fair was organized by Rakhine State government and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations with the support of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

က်န္လက္မွတ္ေရးထိုးမႈမ်ားသည္ လုပ္ငန္းရွင္အခ်င္းခ်င္းေရးထိုးမႈမ်ားျဖစ္သည္ဟု ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္အစိုးရအဖြဲ႕၊ စီမံကိန္းႏွင့္ဘ႑ာေရး ၀န္ႀကီးဦးေက်ာ္ေအးသိန္းက ဆိုသည္။
အဆိုပါEOI ေရးထိုးႏိုင္ခဲ႔ေသာ လုပ္ငန္းအမ်ားစုသည္ ဟိုတယ္ႏွင့္ခရီးသြားလာေရး၀န္ေဆာင္မႈ လုပ္ငန္းမ်ား ျဖစ္သည္ဟု ၀န္ႀကီးက ဆိုသည္။

ရင္းႏွီးျမဳပ္ႏွံသူမ်ားအတြက္ အခြင့္အလမ္းေကာင္းမ်ားျဖစ္ေပၚေစမည္ဟု ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္၀န္ႀကီးခ်ဳပ္ဦးညီပု ယင္းပြဲ၏အဖြင့္အမွာစကားတြင္ ထည့္သြင္းေျပာၾကားသည္။

သြားလာႏိုင္တဲ့ေဒသတစ္ခုျဖစ္ၿပီးေတာ့ ကမၻာ့ကုန္သြယ္ေရးလမ္းေၾကာင္းမွာ မဟာဗ်ဴဟာေျမာက္ၿပီး အခ်က္အခ်ာ က်တဲ့ေနရာမွာ တည္ရွိေနပါတယ္”ဟု ၄င္းက ဆိုသည္။
