Understanding Rohingya power struggles before the UN conference

When the Arakan Rohingya National Council (ARNC) unveiled itself on July 13, Bangladeshi and other news sites obligingly reproduced its press release almost word for word. The self‑described “most inclusive and unified platform ever” promised to speak for Rohingya refugees, the diaspora, and those still trapped in Myanmar. Supporters hailed a breakthrough. Skeptics saw déjà vu.

 ဘင်္ဂလားဒေ့ရှ်နိုင်ငံကနေ ရိုဟင်ဂျာဒုက္ခသည်တွေ မြန်မာပြည် ပြန်နိုင်ရေး ဝေဝါးနေဆဲဖြစ်တယ်လို့ ရခိုင်ရို ဟင်ဂျာသမဂ္ဂ(ARU) ကနေ၊ OIC နိုင်ငံတကာအစ္စလမ္မစ်အဖွဲ့ အပါအဝင်၊ နိုင်ငံတကာအစိုးရတွေနဲ့ အဖွဲ့စည်း အသီးသီးကို ပေးပို့တဲ့အစီရင်ခံစာထဲမှာ ဖေါ်ပြထားပါတယ်။ ဒါ့အပြင် မြန်မာနိုင်ငံက နိုင်ငံရေးပဋိပက္ခတွေမှာ ပြိုင်ဘက်နိုင်ငံရေးအင်အားစုတွေကို ထိုးနှက်ဖို့အတွက် ရိုဟင်ဂျာတွေကို ခုတုံးလုပ်ရေးသား ပြောဆိုတာမျိုး တွေ ကိုလည်း ရပ်တန့်ဖို့ဖေါ်ပြထားပါတယ်။ အပြည့်အစုံကို ကိုဇော်မိုးကျော် ကတင်ပြပေးပါမယ်။

ဂျီနိုဆိုက် လူမျိုးတုန်းသတ်ဖြတ်မှု ကာကွယ်ရေးသဘောတူစာချုပ်ကို မြန်မာက ချိုးဖောက်တယ်လို့ စွပ်စွဲထား တဲ့ ဂမ်ဘီယာနိုင်ငံက သောကြာနေ့ အောက်တိုဘာလ ၂၃ ရက်မှာ Memorial လို့ ခေါ်တဲ့ စာမျက်နှာ ၅၀၀ ရှိ တဲ့ အချက်အလက်အပြည့်အစုံတင်ပြချက်ကို ICJ ကုလသမဂ္ဂအမြင့်ဆုံးတရားရုံး ကို တင်သွင်းတော့မှာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဂမ်ဘီယာတင်သွင်းချက်ထဲ မှာဘာတွေပါမလဲ။ ICJ တရားသူကြီးတွေ ဆုံးဖြတ်ဖို့အရေးကိစ္စမှာ ဒီတင်သွင်းချက် ဘယ်လောက်ထိ အရေးပါသလဲ။

Coronavirus has recently surged in Sittwe with new cases

There is no sign of peace and stability returning to Arakan any time soon, according to a report.

The Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) Report to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the situation on the ground in Arakan state, Myanmar, was submitted by ARU Director General Dr Wakar Uddin on Saturday.
